Help

First steps with the [SMK] Dashboard app and answers to frequently asked questions.

  1. 1

    Try Demo mode

Settings → Operating mode → Demo. In “Demo settings” you can switch the scenario: parked in the sun, night, driving, shore power 230 V, failure.

  2. 2

    Add your modules

Settings → Operating mode → Direct, then Settings → Devices and sensors. SMK modules on the same WiFi appear automatically; you can also add a module manually – type the address, port and encryption key or scan them from a QR code.

  3. 3

    Arrange the dashboard

Press and hold the pencil in the header to enter edit mode: add and move tiles, change sizes, create pages and a separate landscape layout. At the bottom of edit mode: panel mode, layout export and import.

  4. 4

Turn on alerts and background operation

Settings → Alerts. The “Background operation” switch keeps alerts working after closing the app and after a phone restart. Add ready-made suggestions with one tap.

  5. 5

    Add the widget

Add the “[SMK] Dashboard” widget to your home screen in any size. Change its content later: press and hold the widget → Settings.

How do I install the app?

The app is in open testing on Google Play. On an Android phone open [SMK] Dashboard on Google Play, or in a browser go to the test page (play.google.com/apps/testing/pl.elektronek.smk), choose “Become a tester” and install the app.

Do I need internet?

Not to run your camper – modules connect to your phone locally. Internet is only needed for the weather.

Does it work without modules?

Yes, in Demo mode – with a full simulated camper.

Does my data go to the cloud?

No. Settings and readings stay on the device. The app has no account, ads or analytics.

Can I use a tablet on the wall?

Yes – panel mode (screen on while charging, dimming, night view) and a separate landscape layout.

On how many phones at once?

On every phone that connects to the modules. Each has its own settings and layout – you can move a layout by exporting it.

Why is there a persistent notification?

Android requires a notification while an app runs in the background. You can show readings in it or hide it in system settings – alerts keep working.

Is the app paid?

No, the app is free.

Which phones does it run on?

Android 10 or newer, phones and tablets, portrait and landscape.
